3. How will Von Miller and Courtland Sutton look?

Both Von Miller and Courtland Sutton are returning from major injuries they sustained in 2020, so I am looking to see how each player bounces back in their first regular-season game.

Will Courtland Sutton be able to put the mental part of his torn ACL behind him and pick up where he left off in 2019 when he made the Pro Bowl?

Since Sutton is still young, I highly doubt he’s lost a step, and he’ll have a tough first test against the stingy Giants secondary.

Sutton proved to be one of the league’s best in 2019, and with Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick, and K.J. Hamler running alongside, Sutton should be able to use the Broncos’ wide receiver depth to his advantage.

Also, how will the Giants game plan against him?  Will they view Sutton as the team’s WR1, or will they give more attention to Jerry Jeudy?

The much-anticipated return of Von Miller is almost here, and with Von being 32 and coming off a major injury, how much can he return to his old self?

I think a lot of people have written off Von as being old and washed, and he hasn’t had a double-digit sack season since 2018.

As we all know, sacks aren’t everything, even for a pass rusher.  Von Miller brings too much more to the defense and it does remain to be seen whether he can have that same impact on the team.

Von has said many times this offseason how good he feels, and you can tell he’s getting anxious about returning to the field.

Like Sutton, I am wondering how well he’ll be able to put the mental side of his injury behind him.

It may take him some time before he can, but even if Von is only 80 percent of himself, he’s still a great pass rusher.

Von should have a good day against this Giants offensive line, and that should help him regain some if any confidence he lost because of his missed season in 2020.
