Marquiss Spencer, DL
Marquiss Spencer was likely quite close to making the active roster and with a bit more development could certainly be in the mix to be a contributor as early as next season.
Nate Hairston and Mac McCain, CBs
The Broncos did end up keeping six cornerbacks and the thought was if they did that, Nate Hairston would be one of them. Instead, the team chose to go with the talented rookie Kary Vincent, Jr.
When Mike Ford was claimed off of waivers for his special teams prowess, it pushed Hairston to the practice squad. When Essang Bassey is ready to return from the PUP list, Hairston could be off the roster entirely.
Jonathan Harris, DT
Jonathan Harris initially made the 53-man roster, a surprise to many, but transactions the following day, namely the trade for Jonas Griffith, pushed him off the roster.
Curtis Robinson and Barrington Wade, LBs
Curtis Robinson, an undrafted free agent out of Stanford, did quite well for himself this summer and has a chance to be an impact player in the future. Barrington Wade also made a quick splash after being grabbed off of waivers.
Both of these guys made a good push to be on the roster and both could be called upon if the young duo of Justin Strnad and Baron Browning have any issues this season.
