Tyrie Cleveland and Seth Williams, WRs

It was a surprise to see not one of these guys, but both of them cut when the team dropped down to 53 players. The rookie Seth Williams had an impressive summer and should certainly be in the team’s future plans.

Tyrie Cleveland can still grow into a productive offensive weapon as well and it is likely that one, if not both, of these guys, will be used in regular-season games this year. The Broncos are only carrying five wide receivers on the main roster and one of those is Diontae Spencer.

Quinn Bailey, Austin Schlottmann and Drew Himmelman, OL

It’s always a good idea to carry as many extra offensive linemen as possible on the practice squad. The Broncos initially waived veteran offensive tackle Cam Fleming, but re-signed him just days later and will start the season with him on the active roster.

Still, it’s likely that at least one of these guys will see some regular-season action.

Austin Schlottmann would probably get the first crack at doing so as he does have regular-season playing experience with the Broncos and many felt he would make the 53-man roster.

Damarea Crockett, RB

Damarea Crockett led the Broncos in rushing attempts (34) and rushing yardage (114) during the team’s three preseason games. They gave him an extended look and saw enough of him to keep him around as a fifth running back option behind Melvin Gordon, Javonte Williams, Mike Boone and Nate McCrary.

Kendall Hinton, WR

Last year’s wide receiver turned quarterback was being talked about as a dark horse to make the 53-man roster during OTAs in the spring but the emergence of Trinity Benson, who was eventually traded, ended up overshadowing him.

Shaun Beyer, TE

The undrafted free agent ended up getting this spot over Austin Fort, which is kind of a surprise.
