Roster spots are going to be hard to come by in general, but off the edge, even more difficult than other position groups.

The Denver Broncos are projected to keep four players off the edge and going into training camp, three of those spots were already set in stone with Von Miller, Bradley Chubb, and Malik Reed all back and healthy.

Jonathon Cooper had such an outstanding preseason that he really seized the fourth EDGE spot on Denver’s roster, meaning this could be the end of the line for Derrek Tuszka and even undrafted rookie Andre Mintze, who has impressed.

One of those two guys definitely could have forced the Denver Broncos to keep five EDGE players if they had played out of their minds, but it seems both are better practice squad candidates at this particular point in time.

Tuszka, with his outstanding athletic ability and upside, could attract some suitors on the waiver wire. He seems like the type of guy that would get plucked away from Denver but I think at this point in time, he’s on his way to being cut by the Broncos.

We simply didn’t see enough from Tuszka in preseason play in terms of his ability to go out there and make big plays as a pass rusher.
