The Broncos had a very strong defensive line even before the emergence of McTelvin Agim but Agim had a very good training camp before preseason began, making it even stronger than last year, potentially.

The same goes for Dre’Mont Jones.

Agim was drafted in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, while Jones was taken in the third round of the year before. I guess it’s true what they say: It takes a year or two for defensive linemen to start making a bigger impact and that’s what those two players have done.

Purcell made a strong case for the 53-man roster in 2019 as a run defender and has not looked back. Even though he has missed some time due to injury, that isn’t enough for someone to knock him off the roster. He is a valuable asset to the defensive line with his run defense.

DeShawn Williams and Shamar Stephen round out the final spots on the defensive line. Marquiss Spencer is the disappointing omission from this prediction but keeping seven defensive linemen may not be reasonable. Even if it was, the pick could be Isaiah Mack.

It’s a tough year to try and make the Denver Broncos roster at certain positions, and defensive line is one of them. Maybe the team will stash one or two of these guys on their practice squad.
