The Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears have quite a few connections, and the Broncos should leverage that and engage in a trade or two with the team.

I for, one, am not tired of writing about trade scenarios using different teams.  NFL trades are fun, and the Broncos should, as I have said before, continue to try and improve the team.

The Broncos and Chicago Bears have quite a few connections, two of which are Vic Fangio and Kyler Fuller, so the teams have worked with each other before.

Perhaps the Broncos see value in a few of the Bears’ players.

Denver Broncos: Trade Ideas with the Bears

1. Danny Trevathan, LB

The Bears have absolutely no reason to want to trade Trevathan, but the Broncos could definitely use his services.

Ever since Trevathan left Denver after the 2015 season, the Broncos have had a glaring need for a linebacker of his skillset.

Trevathan played all 16 games for the Bears in 2020, racking up the second-highest tackle total of his career.

Trevathan is under contract for another two seasons, and my guess is the Bears wouldn’t bring him back after the 2022 season.

However, if the Broncos can offer a high enough pick, perhaps they can pry Trevathan from the Bears.

In my opinion, the Bears are on the cusp of a full rebuild, minus the quarterback.

The Matt Nagy-Ryan Pace era hasn’t really amounted to anything, and their weird handling of Justin Fields, coupled with a bad offensive line, limited playmakers, and aging defense might not be enough for them to remain relevant.
