Pita Taumoepenu, Linebacker

Pita Taumoepenu was a candidate to be cut in the first wave of roster moves when the team had to get down to 85 players. He is not going to make the team, so he has to go at some point and since he has made little impact on the team since being signed, that time could be now.

At outside linebacker, the Broncos have a great combination in Von Miller and Bradley Chubb and a capable backup in Malik Reed. Seventh-round pick Jonathon Cooper has been one of the standouts of the summer and looks like a draft steal.

Those four guys are going to make the roster and both Derrek Tuszka and undrafted free agent  Andre Mintze both have a chance to get onto the final 53 as well. Taumoepenu will be on the outside looking in and the team could love on from him now to get a clear look at Tuszka and Mintze in the final preseason game to see if either is deserving of a roster spot.
