The first team defense for the Denver Broncos looked sensational and as advertised against Seahawks.

The Denver Broncos‘ have looked great in the preseason so far and tonight, we got to see the first team defense on the field for the first time this year against the Seattle Seahawks.

The first team defense tonight was:

  • DE Shelby Harris
  • NT Mike Purcell
  • DE Dre’Mont Jones
  • LB Justin Strnad
  • LB Alexander Johnson
  • OLB Bradley Chubb
  • OLB Malik Reed
  • CB Kyle Fuller
  • CB Ronald Darby
  • S Justin Simmons
  • S Kareem Jackson

Von Miller and Josey Jewell are the only ones missing from tonight’s lineup but nonetheless, still a really good defense.

Justin Simmons doing what makes him the best safety in the league

On the very first drive of the game, the Broncos’ defense forces a turnover as Justin Simmons gets the INT. On a 3rd-and-13, Simmons casually intercepts the ball down the sideline and gets both feet inbounds. It was a great play for Simmons as he looks to carry this into the regular season.

The secondary with great coverage, forcing Bradley Chubb with a sack on the quarterback

On their final drive, the secondary once again has great coverage. The quarterback gets forced out of the pocket and tries to make the play but Chubb is there for the sack. Malik Reed and others were there on the pressure as well.

It was great seeing Chubb getting back to do what he does best as he will look to have a great year alongside Miller on the opposite side.

The first team defense looked real good out there against the Seahawks and will look to carry that momentum into the regular season. Other plays were made on the defensive side of the ball that was great too but it was nice to see the starters out there for a bit.
