Remember not long ago when the Broncos were extremely thin at this spot? A couple of big free-agent signings and a great first-round draft pick have sure changed that.

It’s also a difficult position to predict.

The first five names above are going to make the team unless the Broncos were to trade one of them and it seems possible that a team could ask for a guy like Bryce Callahan or Michael Ojemudia.

For me, cutting Kary Vincent Jr. is difficult because the talent is there and though he would be great to stash on the practice squad, there’s no guarantee a team wouldn’t claim him off waivers or later pluck him off the practice squad.

Essang Bassey has been nursing a knee injury and remains on the PUP list. If he’s not ready to begin the season, the team could have him start the regular season on the PUP list and that would allow them to keep Vincent around, though guys like Nate Hairston and Parnell Motley want to remain in the competition.

Initially, I had Vincent on this team over DeShawn Williams and would consider keeping him over Derrek Tuszka as well. The final two preseason games will be big for him and he might be able to make a case for the team to keep him around.
