Tight end (3): Noah Fant, Albert Okwuegbunam, Eric Saubert

Noah Fant and Albert Okwuegbunam will provide Denver with one of the top young tight-end combinations in the league, so long as Okwuegbunam is 100 percent following the injury that cut his rookie season short last year.

The battle remaining is at the TE3 spot, and that could go to anyone. For right now, I’ll give Eric Saubert the nod over Austin Fort and Shaun Beyer but all three could be jettisoned if the Broncos see a better option once they scan the waiver wire following final roster cuts around the league.

There are still two preseason games remaining for one of those players to step up and show they belong on the roster and with the frequency with which injuries occur in the NFL, that third tight end will not just be taking up roster space.

The Broncos will look for the best combination of a blocking tight end who can help somewhat in the passing game, the role similar to the one they were hoping to get more from Nick Vannett when he was around.
