Running back (5): Melvin Gordon, Javonte Williams,  Mike Boone, Royce Freeman, Andrew Beck

This position is fairly easy to predict but the injury to Mike Boone changed things a little and likely prompts the team to keep Freeman around, at least to begin the season.

Melvin Gordon will be the first guy out of the gate but as many have predicted, Javonte Williams will likely start to cut into his work rate rather quickly as the rookie second-round pick looks the part.

When the team can get Boone back on the field it will have the backfield it envisioned in the offseason and Royce Freeman will likely become a gameday inactive during most weeks but kept around for insurance in case of injury and he will be a possible trade target for teams around the deadline.

The Broncos are a team that will use the fullback and Andrew Beck, who can also play tight end, will make the roster for that reason.

Damarea Crockett, Adam Prentice and the recently-signed Adrian Killins will be cut, but both Prentice and Killins should be candidates for the practice squad.
