The 2021 NFL season is fast approaching and teams are doing their due diligence to compile their 53-man rosters.

At this stage of the offseason, with several weeks of training camps and one (and in some cases two) preseason games having been played, many teams know a good portion of the players that are locked into their roster spots.

There are likely anywhere from five to 10 jobs remaining to be claimed on each team. For the Denver Broncos, several players are still in line to earn a spot and these final two preseason games will be crucial for them being allowed to continue their playing careers.

Here, we will look at five players sitting firmly on the roster bubble and examine their overall chances of making the team at this point.

Following the season-ending injury suffered by Ja’Wuan James, the Broncos hit the open market and were fortunate to find two veteran offensive tackles in Bobby Massie and Cameron Fleming.

While the former is embroiled in a competition with Calvin Anderson for the starting right tackle job, Fleming is fighting to stay on the team.

Will the Broncos keep eight or nine offensive linemen on the 53-man roster? If they only keep eight, you can pretty much bet that those eight will be Garett Bolles, Dalton Risner, Lloyd Cushenberry, Graham Glasgow, Massie, Anderson, Netane Muti and Quinn Meinerz.

If the Broncos choose to keep nine, Fleming has a chance to stay as a rotational swing tackle. He would still have the fend off the likes of Brett Jones and Austin Schlottmann in order to stick around.

I believe the team will keep nine offensive linemen as it is a spot where you can never be too safe. Fleming will be able to hold on and be that veteran piece that the team is able to turn to in a tight jam.

Prediction: Keep
