More multiple player trades, because why not?  CJ Henderson, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2020 first-round pick is apparently available for trade, and the Broncos should be very interested.

Gardner Minshew, in my opinion, has franchise quarterback potential and is currently better than both Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater.

Not only do the Broncos get another long-term corner to pair with Patrick Surtain II, but they get themselves a solid franchise quarterback in Gardner Minshew.

Ever since the Jags drafted Trevor Lawrence back in April, Minshew’s name has occasionally popped up in trade scenarios, and the Jags could benefit in getting a mid-round pick for his services.

In this scenario, the trade wouldn’t go down until after the preseason, if the Denver Broncos’ coaching staff determines that neither Drew Lock nor Teddy Bridgewater can be ‘the guy.’  Minshew would come in and hopefully solidify the position for the team, giving the Broncos a much-needed franchise signal-caller.

Minshew may not be a high-end starter, but he’d fit in perfectly with the Denver Broncos.  He’d be afforded an offensive core that he wasn’t in Jacksonville, and also have the luxury of playing opposite a stout defense.

CJ Henderson would probably pencil is as CB5, and would essentially have a redshirt year with the Broncos. His rookie season was a bit rough, and it’s possible that the Jaguars’ putrid defense was having negative effects on the rookie.

Allowing Henderson to play in the best secondary in football would surely help refine his skills, and show us why a high draft pick was used for his services.

The compensation for these two players would be digestible, in my opinion.  I think Minshew can be had for a 4th round pick, and Henderson for a 2nd.

Unless the Jaguars ask for players in return, I think the Broncos could offer a 2022 2nd and 4th round pick for Henderson and Minshew.

This was a fun article to type.  I don’t think these trade scenarios will happen, but I can argue that their logical trades that help the team fill long-term needs.

What do you think, Broncos Country, were these trades outrageous enough?
