Denver Broncos – CJ Henderson Trade Ideas

1. CJ Henderson for draft picks

The Jacksonville Jaguars, if they are indeed fielding trade offers for CJ Henderson, likely are in the boat of preferring draft compensation in return.

The Denver Broncos don’t have an over-abundance of draft picks, by any means, but as we’ve mentioned, Henderson would be a worthwhile investment.

At this point in time, they probably can’t ask for much more than a second-round pick and change for Henderson, so they would be selling low. The Miami Dolphins got a hoard of picks from the Pittsburgh Steelers for Minkah Fitzpatrick in a deal that could be considered at least somewhat similar to this, but I highly doubt Jacksonville would get even a first-round pick for Henderson.

Even considering the Denver Broncos potentially needing draft capital to move on a quarterback, you wouldn’t have to give up too many assets to get Henderson and could still pull off a trade for a QB next offseason.

Even if that trade was to move up in the 2022 NFL Draft, we saw the Chicago Bears make a move up for Justin Fields this past year and then also move up in round two for offensive tackle Teven Jenkins.

The Los Angeles Rams haven’t had a first-round pick since 2016, and they have still managed to make a number of blockbuster trades for guys like Jalen Ramsey and Matthew Stafford.

There are undoubtedly plenty of picks and players to still make a deal later on if the Broncos use draft capital to acquire a player like Henderson.
