Denver Broncos: 3 undrafted rookies turning heads at camp

3. Curtis Robinson, LB
Never mind that Curtis Robinson bears a striking resemblance to Justin Strnad.
The former Stanford Cardinal linebacker made his way to Denver after the 2021 NFL Draft despite some really impressive athletic metrics.
Curtis Robinson is a LB prospect in the 2021 draft class. He scored a 9.23 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 165 out of 2137 LB from 1987 to 2021. https://t.co/Z5suNRNdFb #RAS via @Mathbomb pic.twitter.com/WmtYyZvCQk

His RAS or pre-draft measurables make him a 99 percent comp with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner, believe it or not.
Robinson obviously has a really long way to go before he’s at Fred Warner’s level, but he’s been off to a solid start at Denver Broncos training camp.
Perhaps he’s simply been one of the only consistently healthy bodies out there for the Broncos, but Robinson has gotten some work with the starting defense.
Curtis Robinson getting the start in place of Jewell and Strnad today at linebacker. Trey Marshall and PJ Locke are your starting safeties. #Broncos

Additionally, I was on hand for practice when Robinson made a nifty interception near the line of scrimmage off of Teddy Bridgewater in a 7-on-7 session.
The Denver Broncos want (need) to see Robinson working in space, working in coverage with his back to the line of scrimmage.
If he can do that consistently throughout the preseason, there should be at least one spot available on this team right now.
With Baron Browning still not fully recovered from an injury and not practicing with the team (he’s on the PUP), Robinson has a golden opportunity to steal reps from another former UDFA in Josh Watson and prove his worth in Vic Fangio’s defense.
