Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has been snubbed in the Madden 22 video game. That is depending on who you ask. For me? Yeah he’s been snubbed. But in a way, I understand it.
Madden 22 released a list of their top-20 overall wide receivers. You could make a case for Tim Patrick as he spent the 2020 season as a huge part of the offense. That just did not matter to Madden.
Official ratings have not been released besides three players on the team (running back Javonte Williams, outside linebacker Von Miller, and safety Justin Simmons), but here’s the list of the game’s top 20 receivers:

The huge difference here is that the majority of these wideouts are going to have a much better quarterback throwing them the ball than Sutton will. It’s a sad truth.
Here’s the other side of the coin. Sutton has shown in his two full seasons that he deserves to be recognized. In 2019, he had 72 receptions for over 1,100 yards and scored six touchdowns—all that in 14 games.
It’s a disappointment that Sutton isn’t in the top-20 of all wide receivers. The torn ACL he suffered last season is probably a big factor in this.
That being said, it is still possible that he just barely missed the cut. I can’t see Sutton worse than an 84 overall given that he’s shown he has what it takes to be a number one receiver in this league. Sutton’s tremendous performance in 2019 came while he was catching passes from three separate quarterbacks throughout the season. That is extremely difficult to accomplish.
The other wide receivers that are not in the top 20 will be released sometime in the coming days. We shall see what sort of disrespect Madden 22 showed to Sutton and perhaps other players on the Denver Broncos.

Denver Broncos: Pat Shurmur sees growth in Jerry Jeudy ‘every day’
Denver Broncos offensive coordinator isn’t worried about second-year receiver Jerry Jeudy. In fact, Shurmur is happy with his progress so far.
Stay tuned, Broncos Country.
