Denver Broncos: Top-7 highest-rated players in Madden 22
Outside Linebacker Bradley Chubb
Bradley Chubb, the team’s top-5 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, is given an overall rating of 85. Chubb is known for his fast get-off like Von Miller. He is very quick and gets to the quarterback seemingly with ease.
After missing the 2019 season with a torn ACL, Chubb rebounded with an eight-sack season in 2020. His 84 overall speed and 86 overall acceleration are nothing to look past. Those ratings make me excited.
Miller received a strength rating of 91, which is tremendous. He has hit the weight room and gotten stronger while also recovering from ankle surgery that kept him out of OTAs and Mini-Camp. He’s almost ready to go.
Despite missing some time, his awareness rating is at 88. Awareness is a huge part of a player’s overall rating. It appears to be the thing that boosts an overall rating the fastest.
Chubb’s tackling rating is 79 overall. He has made 123 tackles in three seasons, including 60 in 2018 which is a career-high. Chubb also has 20.5 sacks for his career.
Madden has given Chubb a toughness rating of 95. You definitely have to commend Chubb for going through everything he has gone through with injuries. Hopefully, he doesn’t have to deal with a whole lot more throughout his career.
Among the many skills Chubb possesses, he has found different ways to get to quarterbacks. Part of that is due to finesse moves. In Madden, he received a Finesse rating of 87.
Running Back Melvin Gordon
Melvin Gordon also received an overall rating of 85 in Madden 22.
Gordon has beaten out rookie running back Javonte Williams in the Madden 22 ratings. Williams received a 75 rating.
Gordon is a physical runner who can make people miss. His speed is a 91 overall. Gordon finished the 2020 season with 986 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns.
Among some of the other high ratings for Gordon are acceleration, which the developers gave him a 90, agility (90), awareness (87), strength (74), carrying (87), catching (70), break tackle (85), Jumping (85), injury (89), stamina (90), change of direction (88), ball carrier vision (88), stiff-arm (89), and juke moves (90)
Gordon did fumble several times during the 2020 season, so his strength rating of 74 is fair. Hopefully he reduces his fumble count from four to zero in 2021, but he has a history of fumbles, with a total of 18 in his career.
