Denver Broncos training camp: Day one notes and observations

4. The Jerry Jeudy Hype Train
If you weren’t already on the Jerry Jeudy hype train, it’s already left the station.
No player has drawn more attention for their offseason work so far than Jeudy, and he picked up right where he left off after a strong OTAs.
Justin Simmons on Jerry Jeudy: “There’s no doubt in my mind that Jeudy can have an All-Pro, Pro-Bowl season this year.”

WOW.
Jerry Jeudy has been the receiver on both Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater’s longest passes of practice so far. Both have gone for ~20 yards.

Denver Broncos GM George Paton stopped short of saying that Jeudy is the best in the NFL right now at creating separation but probably would have said it if he wasn’t trying to be polite to everyone else in the league, specifically some of the great players he’s worked with.
Safe to say George Paton is a massive fan of Jerry Jeudy.

“He might be the best separator in the league—one of the better.”
“He’s taken a big step—one of the bigger steps of anyone (this offseason).”
“I’m really excited about him and his progression.”
It’s safe to say the Jerry Jeudy hype is off the charts at this point. Expectations will be extremely high going into the regular season if he keeps this pace up. Even with the drop issues he had as a rookie, most reasonable fans expected Jeudy to progress in year two and borderline ditch those problems going forward.
They were not an issue on day one of camp, though Jeudy himself was for the defensive backs.
