3. Courtland Sutton, WR

The Denver Broncos sorely, sorely missed Courtland Sutton a season ago.

Not only is Sutton one of the best receivers in the NFL, but he’s also one of the top leaders on the Denver Broncos’ roster and a player who can galvanize the team and keep morale high.

The Broncos have applauded Sutton for the way he exemplified that leadership in the training and recovery room for the team, which obviously was loaded with other players throughout the season (unfortunately).

Although the 2020 season was basically a lost year in Sutton’s development or his ability to help Drew Lock develop, 2021 remains a contract year for the former Pro Bowl selection.

Sutton was incredible in the 2019 season considering the revolving door at the quarterback position, and is the team’s unquestioned WR1 in a loaded room at the position.

If Drew Lock has a breakout season, there’s a strong likelihood that Sutton will have something to do with it, and that means Sutton could be a very, very rich man in the near future.

The Denver Broncos would be wise to open extension talks with Sutton prior to the season if he proves himself to be 100 percent healthy and effective just like he used to be.

If Lock has a big season, Sutton is going to benefit in a big way. Jerry Jeudy seems to be a strong contender this year for the team lead in receptions and yards, but it won’t be long before the chemistry between Lock and Sutton is rekindled.
