Von Miller

Broncos Country won’t want to hear this, but even your favorite players age. While Miller did put up 8.5 sacks in 15 games in 2019, he missed the entire 2020 season with a leg injury.

At his age, 32, a severe injury like the one he suffered during a practice is bad news.

At some point, the Broncos will be searching for his replacement, whether that player takes the field right away or if Miller is a Bronco for a couple more years.

8.5 sacks isn’t necessarily a bad stat but Miller showed in the past what he is capable of. He has put up ten-plus sacks in seven of his nine seasons (2020 would have been his tenth season).

Malik Reed put up eight sacks in 16 games for the Broncos in Miller’s absence. While nobody can truly live up to Miller’s potential, there are some good pass rushers to be had, and Reed is certainly not a bad one.

Hopefully, Miller does come back at full form in 2021 and can prove to the team that he’s still got a bunch of football left in him.
