The Denver Broncos open up their 2021 training camp practice schedule in less than one week. That means that 90 guys, most of which will hopefully be healthy and out on the field for the majority of training camp, are going to be out there competing for the 53 available roster spots on this improved Broncos roster. In the coming weeks, general manager George Paton will have the opportunity to see how his roster looks out on the field and evaluate what kinds of changes still need to be made.

As the offseason comes to a (merciful) close, there are still opportunities to think like a GM and look around the league for ways to upgrade the roster as it is currently constructed.

The Denver Broncos are certainly far from a finished product and they will have pro scouts scouring other teams for options they could buy low on, take a calculated risk, or be on the ready to scoop up in case some hit the waiver wire.

Trades are less common in the NFL than other pro sports leagues because of the difficulty of adapting quickly to a new scheme. It’s not unlike being thrown into a new country and being expected to learn the primary language in a matter of a couple of weeks.

With that being said, trades will still happen between now and the start of the regular season. We’ve looked at some scenarios involving the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Rams as well as the Miami Dolphins.

What about with the Dallas Cowboys? There could be some intrigue from the Denver Broncos’ end with Dallas for players who could wind up being available.

Let’s take a look through some potential scenarios.
