Either the Denver Broncos will have to make a decision, or Von Miller will have to make a decision. A decision on what? A decision on the future of the star pass rusher.

Miller is 32-years old and the fact that he will be attempting to come back from a season-ending ankle injury comes with the realization that Miller probably won’t be the same as his younger self.

In a recent 2022 NFL Mock Draft, Bleacher Report figures that the best course of action for the team is to draft Miller’s replacement. That’s what they had the team doing, taking Ohio State edge rusher Zach Harrison.

Harrison has recorded the following stats over a 21-game span:

  • 38 total tackles
  • 18 assisted tackles
  • 10 tackles for loss
  • 5.5 sacks
  • 2 pass breakups
  • 1 fumble recovery

All things going well in terms of availability, as well as COVID-19 being a non-issue, Harrison will have a chance to solidify himself as a surefire first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

As of right now, it is too early to really know who is or is not a first-round prospect.

From an athletic standpoint, his speed really stands out, and according to OhioStateBuckeyes.com, he has been clocked in at an incredible 4.47-seconds in a 40-yard dash. That is just one of his many impressive achievements and skills that he can utilize in the NFL.

The Broncos added plenty of help on both sides of the ball via free agency and the 2021 NFL Draft. As of right now, they don’t have a ton of holes. If Miller does leave the Broncos following the 2021 season, Harrison could be a solid replacement.

Bleacher Report has a high projection for the Denver Broncos in 2022

When it comes to the 2022 season for the Denver Broncos, the big thing has been about the quarterback position. Who will be the team’s starter? Drew Lock? Teddy Bridgewater? Aaron Rodgers?

Based on where Bleacher Report has the Broncos picking in the 2022 NFL Draft (24th overall), you would think that they would have a phenomenal season at the quarterback position. However, nowhere does it say anything about any quarterback. It is all about Miller.

So, what’s the deal? There have been plenty of rumors/speculation of Aaron Rodgers in Denver. Does Bleacher Report believe he is destined for the Mile High city? Or are they confident in Lock or Bridgewater?

Regardless, if the Broncos do end up with the 24th overall pick in the 2022 draft, and not from the result of a trade down, it would be an absolute miracle.
