Dre’Mont Jones, Defensive lineman

Dre’Mont Jones is gaining some buzz within the Denver fanbase but he’s not talked about on a national scale. That could easily change in 2021.

A third-round pick in 2019, Jones had a quiet rookie before slowly turning it on last season. What was most encouraging was the fact that he got better as the season went on and had 3.5 of his 6.5 sacks in the final month of the season, including 1.5 in the season finale against the Las Vegas Raiders.

In year three, Jones could really become a force as he has gained trust within the organization and should be one of the team’s starting defensive linemen this season.  Last year, though he did collect 6.5 sacks, he was on the field for just over half (51.7 percent) of the team’s defensive snaps.

What could he do with a lot more snaps? The NFL is about to find out.

Jones is one of the biggest breakout candidates on the entire roster and he could be in for a big year. If the Broncos can get him going along with having Von Miller and Bradley Chubb on the same defense, look out.
