As NFL teams prepare for their respective training camps to open, they sit with 90 players on their roster.

Teams will be forced to part ways with nearly half of those players before compiling their practice squads to head into the season with. Some of these decisions will be easy while others will be quite difficult.

For the superstars and established veterans on the team, a roster spot is safe. The same is usually the case for most of the team’s incoming rookie class. Theoretically, there are usually only around 10 roster spots that are actually up for grabs.

The Broncos may have more than that this summer as the team has a talented roster and for a team looking to turn its fortunes around, will be looking for young players ready to step up and prove that they belong.

We should see spirited competitions at the wide receiver position, where the team currently has 15 players on the depth chart and for the No. 3 tight end spot behind Noah Fant and Albert Okwuegbunam.

Here are five players who should be sitting firmly on the roster bubble all summer who the organization will have to make some difficult decisions on.

Calvin Anderson, offensive tackle

The Broncos seem to like Anderson, but how much can they really like him when they signed Bobby Massie AND Cameron Fleming? Both of those players will likely get a look at the right tackle position ahead of the younger Anderson.

Will the Broncos keep all of those offensive tackles? Because of all the question marks surrounding the right tackle spot this offseason, it’s likely that they will.

If they keep nine offensive linemen, they would likely go with Garett Bolles, Dalton Risner, Lloyd Cushenberry, Graham Glasgow, Massie, Fleming, Netane Muti, Quinn Meinerz, and Anderson. But if they elected to just keep eight offensive linemen, Anderson could be the odd man out and looking for a place on the practice squad.
