The Broncos will also play a three-game preseason slate with the first preseason game just over six weeks away.

August 14 at Minnesota Vikings

Preseason games are often full of backups and with teams having to play a 17-game regular season this year, it might be rare to see starters on the field in the preseason.

The Broncos don’t play the Vikings often, but they could get a look at third-round quarterback Kellen Mond in this one.

August 21 at Seattle Seahawks

The Broncos have faced the  Seahawks many times in the preseason and it was all but an annual thing at one point. It’s always nice to get a chance to knock around a former division rival, even if it is just an exhibition game.

August 28 vs. Los Angeles Rams

The Broncos’ lone home game of the preseason comes against the Rams, who have had one of the league’s more exciting offenses in recent years. Of course, Matthew Stafford and all of the starters will likely be sitting this one out and giving way to players fighting for roster spots.

This will be a game to keep an eye on for those fringe players fighting for spots in Denver, such as the wide receiver position, where there are currently 15 guys on the roster.

We are getting closer and closer to actual football being played. Soon, you will be either attending training camp or scurrying for notes about what took place in camp, watching preseason games, and having your annual fantasy football drafts.

Next. 3 free agents who could still help Broncos at tight end. dark

There’s nothing quite like football season.
