February 2, 2014- vs. Seattle Seahawks

Broncos fans will remember this day as being one of the worst in team history. It was Super Bowl XLVIII and the team was absolutely embarrassed by the Seattle Seahawks.

The Broncos were drubbed 43-8 but if there was a positive on that night in New York, it was Thomas.

Thomas did take a big hit early in the game from Kam Chancellor, a play that set the tone for the rest of the night, but he also stepped up and made plays in the game and was pretty much the only Bronco to do so.

Thomas set a Super Bowl record by catching 13 passes. He had 118 yards on the night and was the only player on the team to score a touchdown, meaningless as it was.

This game for Thomas finds its spot at No. 2 on this list for two reasons. One, Thomas set the Super Bowl record, which was surpassed just a few years later by James White of the New England Patriots.

But also because it was a game in which every member of the team seemed to roll over under the pressure of the Legion of Boom and the Seattle defense, but Thomas was out there giving an effort until the clock hit zero.

It was an ugly, disappointing day in Broncos history, but Thomas was not to be blamed for the defeat.
