Kary Vincent, Jr., Cornerback
I have been singing the praises of Vincent since the Broncos were able to get him in the seventh round of the draft.
The Broncos have shored up the cornerback position in a big way this offseason, so Vincent’s role would likely be quite small as a rookie. But this is a player the team needs to find a role for.
That role will likely start on special teams, where the Broncos had their issues last year. He could really contribute in that area before the team starts to experiment with him in the nickel package.
Vincent played at LSU and was part of the team that won the national championship in 2019. He fell a bit in the draft mostly due to past injuries.
But his speed alone gives him a chance to be an impact player.
One of the fastest players in this year’s draft class, Vincent should also be one of the fastest players in Denver as he has track star speed. His quick feet combined with his ball skills should give him a chance to be an impact player down the road.
Look for the guy wearing jersey number 35 this summer but when you do, don’t just think of what he can be for the team in 2021. Think long-term.
Vincent could really end up being one of the steals of this entire draft.
