Andre Mintze

Whether he’s on the active roster or practice squad, you can definitely pencil in Andre Mintze for the Denver Broncos in 2021.

The Broncos guaranteed Mintze $85,000, so they clearly think highly of him and why wouldn’t they? this guy blazed the track in the 40-yard dash at his pro day, running a 4.57.

If Vic Fangio thinks the team was “lucky” to get you, you’re already in really good shape.

The thing is, Mintze making the active 53-man roster would come at the expense of either Derrek Tuszka or Jonathon Cooper, potentially, and you’d love to see the Broncos be able to keep and develop all of those guys.

Fangio alluded to the team possibly keeping five off the edge, and with Mintze having that 4.57 speed, contributing on special teams should not be an issue.

There’s obviously a lot of potential here with Mintze. The Denver Broncos have to be excited about the young players they have competing for spots and this guy has some rare athletic traits for the position.

With the number of splash plays he has on tape at Vanderbilt and the type of investment the Denver Broncos made in him, don’t be shocked to see him on the 53-man roster when all is said and done.
