The wide receiver position is one of the strongest on the team. Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler, and Tim Patrick are locks to make the 53-man roster (unless, of course, one is used in a blockbuster trade).

The Broncos used a seventh-round pick on a wide receiver in Seth Williams and he will compete for a spot as well. Do you know how many wide receivers are currently on the roster?

Fifteen.

How many wide receivers will the Broncos decide to keep on the roster in 2021?  It could be five. It could be six. Maybe seven.

We can pencil in Kendall Hinton as a player that could steal a spot on the 53. He’s reportedly had an impressive offseason so far—and training camp hasn’t even started. Head coach Vic Fangio recently singled Hinton out for his productive camp.

It is also a possibility that another wide receiver ends up showing more in training camp and can find his way onto the final 53-man roster. As of right now, however, Benson might find himself on the outside looking in on a crowded wide receiver group that was a weakness of the team not very long ago.

Unless Benson does something magical during training camp, which begins on July 27th, the odds are against him on this year’s Denver Broncos roster.
