The Madden 22 video game trailer from EA Sports has been revealed along with the game’s cover, and the good news is the Denver Broncos and Empower Field at Mile High are featured.  The bad news? Just about everything else about it.

The Denver Broncos are victimized in this trailer by one of the two cover athletes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Feast your eyes, if you dare.

The trailer shows footage of a bunch of different NFL teams, but heavily featured are obviously the cover athletes Mahomes and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, the two quarterbacks in last year’s epic Super Bowl matchup.

The Denver Broncos are more of a footnote in this, though it’s great to see the fans in the stadium causing some havoc for Mahomes. That’s about where the ‘good’ for the Broncos in this trailer ends.

Mahomes makes a big-time throw at the end of the game, for the win, on the Denver Broncos’ home field to tight end Travis Kelce.

As if the Denver Broncos haven’t experienced enough pain over the last five years.

Denver Broncos respond to Madden 22 on Twitter

The Denver Broncos have certainly not done much to earn the kind of respect it would take to have their offense or defense making plays in the trailer as opposed to being the ones victimized.

Since Super Bowl 50, the Broncos have not made the playoffs, and have really only come close once (2016).

There has been a revolving door at the quarterback position, three different head coaches, and plenty of roster turnover. The Buccaneers and Chiefs are two of the league’s more popular teams right now, thanks to their tremendous quarterback play.

Perhaps if the Denver Broncos trade for Aaron Rodgers, they’ll get themselves a renewed Madden 22 trailer.

Until that time comes, the Broncos are stuck being the butt of jokes or at least the butt of video game trailers. They’ll have to go out and earn their respect on the field in the 2021 season.
