Bobby Massie

The Broncos were fortunate to find a veteran like Massie on the free-agent market following the season-ending injury suffered by Ja’Wuan James and as a result, Massie was instantly the team’s starting right tackle.

But that was by default. Right tackle was one of the weakest spots on the roster heading into the offseason.

While Massie has plenty of playing experience in the league, he is not going to be just handed this job. The Broncos have a blossoming offensive line and the play of Garett Bolles last season was a huge boost. However, consistency at the other tackle position will be key.

There is no doubt that on paper, Massie is the best option the team currently has. But he played in just eight games last season with the Chicago Bears and his best days are quite possibly behind him.

The Broncos have another veteran in Cam Fleming as well as the developing Calvin Anderson, who they really seem to like. Both of these guys could push Massie for playing time and possibly even overtake him by the time the season kicks off.
