2. Jerry Jeudy

Jerry Jeudy will be one of the most important pieces to this Broncos offense.

The former first-round selection has proven to be one of the better wide receivers from the 2020 draft class. After recording 856 yards on only 52 catches, Jerry has shown he can produce at the next level.

To add on, Jeudy produced all of those yards as a rookie wide receiver playing first-string reps. With Courtland Sutton gone with a massive knee injury, it was up to Jeudy to step in and lead the wide receiver corps. His capability to take charge as a rookie showed a lot about his character and drive to win football games.

Now that 2020 is over, what’s next for Jeudy?

Jeudy will presumably be taking snaps as wide receiver number two on the depth chart. Sutton has returned from injury and has begun to join OTA’s. Meanwhile, K.J. Hamler and Tim Patrick will be behind Jeudy as they were last season.

If Jeudy continues to show signs of progression from last season, there’s a chance he earns the number one spot during the season. This means working on his hands and making sure the ball is secure before making that, “football move”. Jeudy only caught 46 percent of his total targets last season, meaning he needs to make that his first order of business in 2021.

All eyes are also going to be on Jeudy for his leadership and chemistry between the other wide receivers. Because Sutton was out, he did not get a chance to form a bond with the rookie wideouts during the season. However, Jeudy did.

Jeudy’s connection with Hamler is much stronger than it was at the beginning of 2020, meaning the two can work together harmoniously in 2021. Patrick has also been on board with the process since he joined Denver in 2017. Once Sutton catches up to speed, there’s no telling what this corps can do.

Jeudy is the centerpiece to this equation, and there’s no doubt he’ll solve it.
