3. Andrew Beck
With Nick Vannett signing with the New Orleans Saints during the 2021 free agency period, Andrew Beck will likely be the beneficiary here.
Noah Fant and Albert Okwuegbunam being the clear tight end one and two, there is room for someone to step up. Who better than third-year Denver Bronco, Andrew Beck?
In 2019, Beck saw a lot of action with the Denver Broncos. His role was interchangeable, seeing snaps at fullback and tight end. Beck provided the Broncos with flexibility. This is another reason why I expect Beck to carve out a roster spot in 2021.
While Head Coach Vic Fangio expressed his opinion on the fullback becoming obsolete, it is always good to know you have someone in your back pocket if need be. Beck has scored once in his professional career and has a total of a mere 90 receiving yards.
Again, Beck is more of the in-line blocking tight end here that provides the Broncos some flexibility. In 2021, he may set a new career-high in receiving yards. Beck could eclipse the 100-yard mark, but I wouldn’t count on anything more than 200 total yards and a touchdown.
In 2021, the Denver Broncos may get their “Bang for their Beck,” in Andrew.
