Michael Ojemudia, cornerback
Going into the offseason, it was well known that the biggest need that the Broncos had was at the cornerback position. The team not only added two in free agency — Ronald Darby and Kyle Fuller — but it also used its first-round pick on one too.
That had to be somewhat disheartening for second-year corner Michael Ojdemudia, who currently sits as the No. 5 cornerback on the depth chart unless the team surprisingly cuts Bryce Callahan.
Ojemudia had an up-and-down rookie season but there is plenty of room for growth. He will be entering training camp this summer looking to prove himself to the veterans in front of him and the young stud, Patrick Surtain, that was taken with the No. 9 overall pick in the draft.
Because of the names added at cornerback this offseason, Ojedudia has become a bit of a forgotten commodity in Denver, but he should use the experience of playing a lot of snaps as a rookie along with the knowledge he’ll gain from guys like Darby and Fuller, to make the most of his second year in the league.
