Denver Broncos @ Las Vegas Raiders- Week 16

There is no doubt that the Raiders getting as many primetame games this season as they did (4, including a Thanksgiving Day showdown against the Dallas Cowboys) likely has more to do with their brand new stadium than the team’s performance as of late.

However, like the Broncos, the Raiders did work in the offseason locking their defense down, drafting multiple safeties in the 2021 NFL draft, and adding guys like Yannick Ngakoue to pair on the pass rush with Maxx Crosby, and former Charger Casey Hayward Jr. that automatically puts their secondary in a better position than it has been in.

With the day following Christmas landing on a Sunday this year, what better way for Broncos fans to spend a lazy evening relaxing in their new Broncos apparel than to watch a classic showdown between longtime division rivals?

Though the Raiders had a solid campaign up until their end-of-season collapse, they seem to be moving on the right path to working toward an eventual playoff bid. That is unless they do not improve on the defensive front. However, the Broncos got better in the offseason, too, though it is still up in the air who will be taking the snaps in Week 1.

The Broncos should be looking for revenge after being swept by their silver-and-black division foe in 2020, and this game could have been a primetime hit.
