Denver Broncos @ Jacksonville Jaguars- Week 2

While the Jaguars and Broncos combining for six total wins (5 belonging to Denver) in 2020 may not feel like a primetime worthy game the following season, the Jaguars are now touting their first overall pick in Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence, debated to be one of the best prospects to ever come into the draft process.

Even better for Jacksonville, they were able to snag Lawrence’s teammate, running back Travis Etienne, later on in the first round. The Jaguars will also be premiering a new coaching staff, with college football royalty Urban Meyer taking over the reins.

The Broncos will have the opportunity to test their new-look secondary against one of the best to ever play at the college level, which could have made for a worthy Sunday Night game. It is also worth noting that the Broncos will be facing their old teammate, defensive end Adam Gotsis.

This would also be a great opportunity for the world to see if all of the work Drew Lock has put in over the offseason has paid off on the primetime stage.

One more reason this game could have had primetime potential: if Tebowmania truly is back, and Tim Tebow makes the 53-man roster as a tight end for the Jaguars, there would be a rematch between the guy who is making some of the biggest headlines in sports right now, and the team where he found the most success in the NFL as a QB.

While this may have not been the sexiest selection for a primetime slot, there are a lot of factors in this matchup that could have made it the SNF nobody wanted, but needed.
