Dual-Threat quarterbacks could be a big problem for the Denver Broncos

Dual-threat quarterbacks are a problem for many teams. They’ll especially pose as a problem for the Denver Broncos unless Von Miller and Bradley Chubb are able to get off the edge of the line and get to them before they take off.

The Broncos have a number of quarterbacks on their schedule that can run: Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson, Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes, Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts, and Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott.

Now, here’s where things will get interesting for the Broncos: They traded for Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who is also a running-type of quarterback. Unfortunately he suffered a terrible leg injury that puts him more in danger of hurting it again, but it is possible that the team uses Bridgewater as a copy-cat quarterback during practice to prepare for those opponents.

Still, it is frightening to know that the Broncos will have to go up against these great athletes in 2021.

These quarterbacks will be able to make the right reads (whether or not to tuck the ball and run or to throw it downfield). This will be a big test for not only the defensive line/edge rushers, but also the cornerbacks.
