Week 7 at Cleveland Browns

This is the only primetime games the Broncos are scheduled to play this year but is an intriguing one not only because of that but because these are not your grandfather’s Cleveland Browns.

This Browns team is on the rise and there are some out there picking them as the No. 1 threat to the Chiefs in the AFC. Those two teams actually open the season against one another, by the way.

The Browns present a tough challenge for the Broncos, who will have to head to the Dawg Pound just four days after hosting the Las Vegas Raiders in Denver.

The Broncos have actually won 12 of their last 13 games against the Browns, but they will have to work for a victory in this one.

The Browns have a little bit of everything.

Baker Mayfield leads a high-powered offense featuring Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. On the defensive side of the ball, Myles Garrett now has Jadeveon Clowney on the other side of the line so those two will present a handful for Denver’s offensive line.

This game, on paper, is one of the toughest the Broncos have on their schedule because the Browns are perceived as one of the league’s best teams and it is a road game on a short week.

If the Broncos could pull out a win, it could go a long way toward this season’s success.
