Week 1 at New  York Giants

The first game is always going to have extra interest just because it’s the kickoff to a new season. But this game will feature plenty of intrigue.

The Broncos will open on the road against an NFC team for the first time since 2006. This game will also have ties to the tragedies of September 11, 2001. The night before, the Broncos played the Giants in the first regular-season game ever at Invesco Field.

The Broncos won that game 31-20, but that is largely forgotten due to the way the world forever changed the following morning.

This game takes place on September 12, one day after the 20-year anniversary of those horrible attacks. There will likely be touching tributes in New York that day and it will once again be the Broncos on the other side of the Giants.

For those reasons alone, this is an intriguing game. But there will also be action on the field, of course.

Who will be the Broncos’ starting quarterback in that game? Will it be Drew Lock, Teddy Bridgewater, or perhaps even Aaron Rodgers?

It is sure to be a memorable day at MetLife Stadium.
