Denver Broncos vs Detroit Lions

So, despite the inter-conference schedule, the Broncos will face the Detroit Lions two times in three years.

Last season, the Lions gave up the fifth-highest quarterback completion percentage (68.8 percent), the most passing yards per attempt (8.5), the third-most passing yards throughout the entire season (3,558) and the most touchdown passes (38).

Sounds like an instant win, right Broncos Country?

Well, not so fast. Unless Aaron Rodgers is your quarterback.

At this point in time, he is not. Drew Lock is. So if you think about it, you will either have a quarterback in Lock that will play out of his mind (or just “significantly better” than he typically does), or you will get the Lock that will lay an egg.

This should be a nice win for the Broncos but hey, you just never know with this Broncos team.

It is no longer Matt Stafford quarterbacking the Lions; it is now Jared Goff. That’s even more reason why the Broncos should come away with a victory here.

Again, should.
