Denver Broncos: 3 Trap Games on 2021 schedule
Denver Broncos vs New York Jets
Alright, do you see a theme? Another young quarterback is on the Broncos schedule, as the Broncos will face Zach Wilson and the New York Jets in Week 3.
The Broncos should win this game, again, due to the rookie quarterback vs Von Miller and Bradley Chubb. Those two should be able to dominate the line of scrimmage and get to Wilson several times.
The keyword here is should.
If you notice, this game will take place in Denver, which is a huge bonus. Even if their record hasn’t shown it over the last couple of years, I believe the Broncos play better at home. That should not be a surprise.
Let’s talk about the additions the Broncos have made this offseason on defense:
- Cornerback Ronald Darby
- Cornerback Kyle Fuller
- Cornerback Patrick Surtain II
- Safety Kareem Jackson (re-signed)
That is a lot of firepower for the Broncos defense. However, if the Jets’ offensive coordinator is smart, he will have Wilson attack the weak spots of the defense, which out of this group, would probably be Surtain II due to his inexperience in the league.
It will be the battle of the rookies.
