The Denver Broncos will face some great teams in 2021, and some games are just going to be flat-out brutal to watch.

That could potentially happen during games the team should win. That, my friends, is called a trap game.

In 2021, Denver is going to go up against some real star talent, including players just getting their feet wet.

Let’s start with the matchup against this year’s first overall pick.

Denver Broncos at Jacksonville Jaguars

Here’s the thing: Despite 2021 first overall pick Trevor Lawrence getting all of the hype, the Broncos get to face the former Clemson star and the Jacksonville Jaguars at the perfect time.

When you’re facing rookies, it is better to face the best ones early on. That way, they have less time to get their feet wet in the NFL.

Now, even though the Broncos get Lawrence and the Jaguars in Week 2, they still cannot overlook them. That would be a huge mistake because we’ve seen it time and time again: Letting up does not bode well for the Broncos. If you’re ahead by 10-17 points, that just may not be enough.

The two biggest things the media will probably talk about during this week is Trevor Lawrence and Tim Tebow. Rightfully so.

Look, I know that Lawrence is no joke. He’s been talked about as being the top overall pick for what seems to be many years now. The Broncos cannot pay any attention to that. In fact, they should feed off of it and do every single thing in their power to make sure Lawrence knows he’s in the big leagues.

Lawrence is an extremely calm demeanor and is a laser-focused quarterback. Hopefully the Broncos can change that at least for one game for Lawrence.

Whether or not Tebow makes the team remains to be seen. Maybe containing him will be the turning point of the Broncos defense against tight ends.

*chuckles uncontrollably*

The week leading up to this game will surely feature a lot of noise. The Broncos need to keep their head down and work to figure out the best ways to hold the Jaguars to as little points as possible.
