Denver Broncos: 3 trades that could help fix hole left by Ja’Wuan James
Kelvin Beachum, Arizona Cardinals
Beachum has been around for some time and has played for four different teams, making 115 starts over his career, which began in 2012. He has done well for a former seventh-round pick.
Beachum started all 16 games for the Cardinals at right tackle last season and recently agreed to a two-year contract extension with them.
But the Cardinals have last year’s third-round pick, Josh Jones, who could be ready to crack the starting lineup in year two and that could help entice the Cards to move the veteran.
Beachum will turn 32 years old in June but he has been a dependable player for much of his career. Since 2016, he has missed just three games.
Beachum is a consistent performer and while he probably won’t ever compete at a Pro-Bowl level, he will give you the kind of on-field experience that the Broncos would be hard-pressed to find at this juncture of the offseason.
Each of the players on this list could likely be had for a relatively low cost. If Paton is not impressed with any of the veterans he brings in to look at this week, these are three teams he could contact to see if a potential trade for one of the players listed here could be made.
