If the season were to start today, Calvin Anderson might be the team’s starting right tackle. Thankfully, it doesn’t, because this might be the team’s best option right now.

Undrafted out of Texas in 2019, the Broncos are the third team that Anderson has played for. However, the Broncos are high on this player and he was given two starts by the team last year.

That said, the team likely wants him to get a little bit more development before becoming an every-week starter, but if he was thrown into that situation, he just very well may shine.

The best-case scenario would be to bring in at least one veteran for Anderson to compete with and learn from this summer. If Anderson was the better option at the end of the preseason, then the team could roll with him. If he wasn’t ready, then the team would have a player with starting experience that they could send out in Week 1.

It’s possible that Anderson will end up being the guy, but the Broncos must do their due diligence to find that out for sure.
