Kansas City Chiefs: Creed Humphrey

And now for the dreaded Chiefs, the defending two-time AFC champions.

The Chiefs don’t have many weaknesses, but the one they did have, the offensive line, was completely exploited in the Super Bowl loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But boy, have the Chiefs done well to take care of this problem or what?

During the offseason, the team brought in free agents Joe Thuney and Kyle Long before trading for Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Orlando Brown.

The selection of Creed Humphrey gives the team a chance to be even stronger on the interior as the rookie will have a chance to be the team’s starting center right out of the gate.

Patrick Mahomes was running for his life against the Bucs and that could have provided every team in the league a blueprint on how to beat the Chiefs. But Mahomes has to feel very good about the efforts the team has made since that loss to improve the offensive line.

The good teams make weaknesses a strength and this offensive line figures to be much improved from the last time we saw the Chiefs on the field.
