Round 7, No. 237 overall: Matt Bushman, Tight end, BYU

Matt Bushman opted out of the 2020 season and missed the special year that Zach Wilson put together, but he did catch 72 passes in 2019. He is already 25 years old and may have reached his peak as a player, but as a backup tight end he might provide some value.

The Broncos already have Noah Fant and the promising Albert Okweugbunam, so this isn’t a huge need, but having more depth at the position beyond what’s already there (Austin Fort) makes sense.

Round 7, No. 239 overall: Tarron Jackson, DE, Coastal Carolina

Playing at Coastal Carolina, Tarron Jackson looked great against  Sun Belt competition but failed to stand out when going against bigger, tougher opponents, particularly at this year’s Senior Bowl.

Still, he presents enough athleticism and upside to be a  backup EDGE rusher at the next level. He did register 24.5 sacks in four seasons in college.

Round 7, No. 253 overall: Dax Milne, WR, BYU

Dax Milne should be drafted way before this, but he has also slid down the board due to his lack of athleticism. That said, he was Wilson’s go-to target last season and in the right system, could become a productive pro.

Milne has great hands, shows a good release and runs excellent routes. He can make contested catches and is a true competitor. He would be a solid option at some point for Drew Lock, or whoever is the Broncos’ quarterback.
