5. Demaryius Thomas, WR, 2010

The Broncos actually had two first-round picks in the 2010 NFL Draft. With the first of those, the team selected Demaryius Thomas out of Georgia Tech.

Thomas was the first wide receiver off the board that year and many questioned the Broncos taking him ahead of Dez Bryant, who went two picks later. Thomas proved his worth across his eight and a half year career in the Mile High City.

Thomas had 665 receptions for 9,055 yards and 60 touchdowns with the Broncos. All of those marks are good for No. 2 in each category on the team’s all-time list.

Though Thomas did enjoy the benefit of playing with Peyton Manning, he had five straight 1,000-yard seasons and went over 1,400 yards in three of those.

He also won the hearts of Denver fans forever when he took Tim Tebow’s pass in overtime 80 yards for a game-winning touchdown in a playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Thomas should be fondly remembered for his time in Denver.
