Scouting Report. WR. LSU. Ja'MarrChase. Pick Analysis. 5. player. 56

Pick by Chandler Hyler

If I was selecting for the Cincinnati Bengals, I would select Penei Sewell here. That being said, I can understand the reasoning behind this selection.

There isn’t another wide receiver in this class like Chase, and pairing him with former teammate Joe Burrow will be lethal.

They connected for 20 touchdowns in 2019 and 1,740 receivers yards. They won’t get that production from anyone else in this draft. Adding Chase to a wide receiver room with Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins will fill out a complete receiver room.

Just because the Bengals didn’t select an offensive tackle in round one does not mean they won’t.

There will be tackles on day two that will be starters in this league for years, for example, Samuel Cosmi. He would be a nice addition to keeping Burrow upright in the future.
