The Chicago Bears are a fascinating team to watch in this draft class.

There are always going to be rumors about QB-needy teams trading up to get a guy, but I don’t see that being the Bears in 2021. Why?

The Bears nearly pulled off a trade for Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, but the Seahawks decided not to take their offer in the end. I think the Bears’ initial offer for Wilson was just that — an initial offer.

The Bears will probably want to come back to that well whenever they are able to do so again, and they are probably content to ride it out with Andy Dalton while things continue to sour between the Seattle Seahawks and Russell Wilson.

Wilson’s camp has already come out publicly and said that he would want to play for the Bears, so Chicago doesn’t even have to worry about that. I think they’re going to save up their picks and try for that again.

With that said, they need to invest in the offensive line. Alijah Vera-Tucker was a stud guard for the USC Trojans before he eventually took over for Austin Jackson at left tackle and played great there as well.
