Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Michigan. KwityPaye. 14. player. 60. EDGE

Pick by Lou Scataglia

The Vikings had one of the worst defenses in the league last year, which is uncharacteristic for Mike Zimmer, so I am comfortable mocking an EDGE at pick number 14 overall.

Their offense was top 10 last year, and while they do need to address their offensive line, the defense seems to be more urgent at this particular point in time.

Paye is smaller for an EDGE but is powerful and explosive. The former Michigan star would provide much-needed pass rush help for the Vikings, who are also poised to get Danielle Hunter back in 2021.

The Vikes need some juice on their defense, and Paye just might be that guy to provide it.

Current Denver Broncos GM George Paton was with the Vikings when the team made a trade for Yannick Ngakoue. That obviously didn’t work out for the Vikes and they correct that mistake with this selection.
